The pharmaceutical industry's latest move to save the world's forests came in the form of a letter sent in late April from the Council for Economic Education to a special committee of the European Parliament.The letter demanded support for developing countries and claimed that without the plants and trees that are the basis for many existing treatments, the pharmaceutical industry cannot produce new ones.
As a result, companies trying to reduce their carbon footprint ship most of their goods to the European Union, a significant export market. There seems to be a lot of fine print in this.Ho
