UPS anticipates that the surge in freight demand from internet retailers will result in a twenty percent increase in business. A substantial portion of the plan is being organized by UPS Express Network Solutions (ENNS), the largest freight carrier in the world, through its subsidiary. The company intends to grow by adding more new freight distribution lines. In an effort to reduce costs and raise service standards on the country's roadways and railroads, the Freight Management Association of Canada (FMA) members unveiled a global network on Monday.
The 15 international members of the network will act as a freight broker for cargo entering or leaving Canada.
